Year 1 and 2 - What have we been up to in the Spring term?

 

We had a visit from scientist, Mr Higgins who works at Leeds hospital to find out how X-rays work. We used photosensitive paper to help us understand how the images are created.

We have been learning about different colouring techniques to create pictures in the style of Hockney.

We have used charcoal to draw trees, inspired by the artist April Gornik.

Learning about shapes in Y2

We used our construction materials to build the 3D shapes we have been learning about in lessons. We identified and counted the faces, edges and vertices.
