Welcome to Copmanthorpe Primary School. It is a privilege to be Headteacher of a school with such a strong sense of community and where children are at the heart of the decisions we make.
At Copmanthorpe, we want every child to Believe, Grow and Achieve. We are committed to providing an inclusive, ambitious and engaging education which enables children to achieve academically while also developing the confidence, independence and skills they need for the future.
We believe that primary school should be about much more than what happens in the classroom. We want our children to enjoy coming to school, feel that they belong and have opportunities to discover new interests and talents. From sport and the arts to outdoor learning, residentials and wider opportunities, we want children to leave Copmanthorpe with positive memories of their primary years as well as being well prepared for what comes next.
Our school is fortunate to have a committed staff team, supportive families and strong links with the local community. Working together is an important part of ensuring that our children receive the best possible experience during their time with us.
A website can only ever give you a glimpse of life at Copmanthorpe, and we know how important it is to get a feel for a school when choosing where your child will begin their primary education.
If your child is due to start Reception the following September, we hold Open Days each October and would be delighted to welcome you to visit the school, meet members of our team and see Copmanthorpe in action. Details of our upcoming Open Days are published on our website and shared through our school communications.
