Welcome to Copmanthorpe Primary School, a truly special place to learn together. I have had the the privilege of teaching and leading Primary Schools for 40 years and find great pleasure in seeing children and young people challenged to grow and become the best they can be. I would love the opportunity to share our experiences at Copmanthorpe Primary School.

We have a staff team that I am very proud of who are highly motivated, striving to provide the pupils with the best possible opportunities to grow and develop.

We teach children to have a growth mindset, aim high and provide every opportunity to overcome barriers and succeed.
We want our children to leave Copmanthorpe with a life-long love of learning to enable them to achieve and succeed now and in the future. Alongside this, we teach our children to uphold our core values with an emphasis on kindness, respect and celebrating differences (not just tolerating).
We believe that education is a partnership between teachers, parents/carers, children and the wider community. Clear communication between these parties will ensure that we all understand the intentions and beliefs of others.
