Year 2 visit to Flamingoland Zoo
We had a fabulous day out to visit the animals, and were very lucky with the weather considering the hail and sleet that we had seen earlier in the week! The animals were all out enjoying the sunshine, especially the Lemurs who were all sunbathing against their favourite log!
We all took part in a 'Weird and Wonderful' workshop run by the park staff, where we discovered lots about Nocturnal Animals and how they use their super senses to help them survive. The children took part in some activities where they had to rely on one of their senses, like an animal would, and found out some interesting facts about Owls, Bats and Badgers. We also got to meet some friendly snakes, and giant African land snails.
Thanks to everyone involved for a great day, and have a look in the gallery to see the animals in action!
